I found E-wraps was a good technique that I could relate to my drawings, creating shapes and interruptions in the knit. What I also found successful was using thick fluffy yarns such as mohair to e-wrap as it gives my samples more body and texture. At the moment in my knits I am trying to communicate shape and interruptions by e-wrapping, and also the line qualities in my drawings, therefore I am focussing on my selection of yarns. To develop my knit samples further I aim to combine a range of sizes and shapes by e-wrapping, using a wider colour palette, and also developing circular shapes by partial knitting.

Knit Knit Knit
Over the past two weeks I have really enjoyed knitting. I have found it challenging at times as there were so many techniques to learn & I had never knitted before. Now I have started to get more confident with the knitting machine I have been creating small samples that relate to my primary & secondary research.
