I have been referencing to my sketchbook a lot this week more than contextually; I had been struggling in general as I felt I wasn't linking my ideas very well. Expanding from the brief I was looking into shape and structure, as well as extracting ideas from Belle Vue. I was really interested into the attraction of the Zoo and welfare of animals - how they were trapped into this huge entertainment extravaganza. In my drawings I have been combining these elements.
It wasn't until a tutorial that I then realised I could communicate this through trapping shapes, linear qualities and inlaying yarn. What has been really crucial to me is my colour palette in order to collaborate my ideas from sketchbook to practical.
