This week I have been developing my knits by working
in blocks and paying attention to negative space in order to reflect my
sketchbook development. I have really enjoyed using elongated stitch: I tried
this technique both partially, then all the way through samples. This idea
worked well as the change of colour and direction in my knit samples
communicate blocky elements. In my tutorial this week we spoke about my yarn
choice, I have still been using a range of colour and yarn type up to this
point. In order to refine this I need to find yarn that reflects the delicacy
and neatness of my sketchbook.
