Lisa Milroy

In todays workshop we had one to ones with Kate about how we are getting on in embroidery. As I've been struggling with developing my drawings we looked through my sketch book and pulled out the drawings that I could progress with. 

Kate suggested I look at artists for inspiration, so I decided to research more into one of my favourite artists, Lisa Milroy. Lisa's work inspires me as she draws with such a delicate line, and the composition in her drawings. I especially like her water based drawings because they produce a fine quality. 

I would like to develop my lightbulb drawing in a similar way that Lisa Milroy has, replicating the image in a small scale. 

Furthermore these are paintings of Lisa Milroys that inspire me due to the composition and choice of media.
