In our Monday meeting Kate gave a lecture on listening and the skill of it. She made us keep ourselves occupied while she presented the lecture, which led me to think about when and how I encourage myself to listen properly. I was hand stitching onto paper throughout the session and although I was concentrating on the stitching, I noticed that I found myself still listening just as much, finding that being passive with my hands help me take in information. I found the best way I take in information is by simply taking notes while listening.
