Incident Drawings
Trisha Brown is a prolific choreographer, as well as a professional visual artist. She has been known to combine these skills together creating amazing art pieces. What really inspired me is how Trisha Brown takes data in a different form and records movement through dance. I enjoy her work as she uses such simplicity in her pieces; with black media on white paper, making textured mark makings and directional lines.
Her work encourages me to come out of my comfort zone when drawing; work on bigger loose sheets, as I always just stick to my A4 sketchbook when drawing, and to also use my own hand with media to make marks instead of using sticks and paintbrushes.
