Belle Vue

I was fascinated by all the infomation we were given in the two lectures this week about Belle Vue Gardens, as it appeared to be such a huge attraction back in the day. I loved that there was so much to learn about Belle view and a huge number of different attractions within the site we could discover. I was especially interested in the zoo, which contained a vast number of exotic animals and was one of the first places where people could go in Britain to see them. The animal welfare and lack of wellbeing also is something I am considering looking further into.

I visited Chetham Library to gather more primary reseach of Belle View Gardens. Firstly the library itself was fascinating, and contained so many useful leaflets, images and scrap books gathered from the attration. I loved looking at the designs on leaflets that were created to advertise, and also the imagery of the Zoo.
